Health & safety software for UK & Jersey sub-contractors

RAMS you’d put your name on.

Then the same system runs the rest. On site, the Site App runs the crew's day from their phones: QR briefing sign-on with real signatures, POWRAs, site inspections, toolbox talks and accident reporting, with every equipment manual and safety data sheet in their pocket, readable in a dead spot. In the office it all lands in one place: training records, cert reminders before tickets lapse, HAVS exposure registers and a live safety dashboard, with a full audit trail behind every record.

§ 01 — The difference

The software does the typing. A NEBOSH professional did the thinking.

Your starting library — the control measures, risk judgements and COSHH logic — is reviewed and approved by a NEBOSH-certified construction professional. So you are never starting from nothing: a reviewed foundation, tailored to your job, in the regulations that apply where you are working. You edit it, sign it off, and the finished document is yours. That is the difference between one that reads right and one that is built right.

01 · FOUNDATION
Reviewed by a NEBOSH pro

Your starting library and templates are reviewed and approved by a NEBOSH-certified professional, grounded in real UK and Jersey site RAMS, not a generic pack.

02 · TAILORED
To your job in minutes

Describe the job in plain English. Keystone fits that proven foundation to your site, in the regulations that apply where you are working.

03 · YOURS
Signed off & owned by you

Edit inline, reword in your voice, sign it off. Keystone does not author or sign your documents, you do.

§ 02 — Real output, not a template gallery

This is what you send to the principal contractor.

Four real documents, exactly as they print from Keystone: a risk assessment, a COSHH assessment, a safe working practice and a complex lifting plan. Branded, structured, audit-ready, each carrying your logo and your reviewer’s sign-off. A full RAMS pack pulls the relevant ones into one submission.

Keystone HSE safe working practice exactly as it prints — SWP10 Confined Space Entry, Manhole / Chamber, page 1: hazards, PPE, permit-to-enter warning and start of procedure Keystone HSE safe working practice exactly as it prints — SWP10 Confined Space Entry, page 2: remaining procedure steps and rescue arrangements
Printed from a Keystone template library — your own logo and reviewer sign-off appear on every document. Click a page to view it full size.
§ 03 — Headline capability

Everything a UK or Jersey sub-contractor needs to issue compliant RAMS.

Lifting plans that check the numbers

Standard and Complex plans to LOLER Reg. 8, and Analyse runs the arithmetic before the plan leaves your desk: gross load against capacity at radius, per-leg sling loads, and accessory thorough-examination dates against your project dates. A one-pager for standard lifts, or a full 3-page Complex plan covering lift geometry, ground bearing, wind and proximity limits, the method sequence, banksman and Lift Supervisor roles and the emergency procedure, with your logo top left, ready to merge into the pack. Every plan carries its own QR code, so the office can generate a plan and the crew see it on their phones straight away. They sign their agreement electronically at the point of work and carry out the lift. No printing, no waiting.

◆ A lifting template can't tell you the lift doesn't work.

Analyse — your second pair of eyes

Hit Analyse on any lifting plan and Keystone runs a deterministic rules engine — SWL ratios, capacity-at-radius, accessory ratings, cert expiry — backed by an AI holistic pass. Findings come back tagged critical, warning or suggestion, with the source shown.

Right for where you work

The right RAMS for your jurisdiction. Not generic UK boilerplate.

Tell Keystone where the job is and it builds to the law that actually applies. A generic tool hands a Jersey contractor regulations that don't apply on the island. Keystone doesn't.

United Kingdom
Built to CDM 2015
  • Construction Phase Plan under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015
  • UK regulations and HSE guidance throughout
  • Duty-holder responsibilities set to the CDM framework
Jersey
Built to the 2016 Regulations
  • Construction Phase Plan under the Health and Safety (Management in Construction) (Jersey) Regulations 2016
  • Jersey duty-holder matrix, with domestic-client duties handled correctly
  • Health and Safety at Work (Jersey) Law 1989, with UK good practice cited as such where no island rule exists

Your RAMS becomes a RAMS + Construction Phase Plan automatically on jobs where you’re the only contractor, the right CPP for your jurisdiction, not a separate document to chase.

§ 04 — Beyond the paperwork

RAMS is where it starts. Keystone runs the whole job.

Once the pack’s issued, the same system keeps the site compliant: the crew sign on by phone, certs chase themselves, and every talk, check and incident files itself under the job. One place, instead of five spreadsheets and a WhatsApp group.

The Site App — in your crew’s pocket

Sign on. Check in. On site.

Comes with Pro and Team, built for phones, and it keeps working when the signal doesn’t. Everything the crew capture queues on the handset and uploads the moment they are back in range.

QR briefing sign-on. The crew scan the pack and sign at the point of work, each role signing its own box.
POWRA point-of-work checks, photo site inspections and toolbox talks with a signed attendance register.
Small jobs, assessed on site. For work too small for a full RAMS, create the job on the phone, run the point-of-work risk assessment, and pull the right risk assessments, safe working procedures and COSHH from your own approved library, with equipment bringing its linked documents automatically. One signed record, filed before the tools come out. Office logins can always do this; you nominate which crew logins can.
Photo reports from the job. Photograph what matters, ring it or put an arrow on it on the picture itself, say what is wrong underneath, and it files under the job as a branded A4 PDF. Email it on without leaving the app.
Pre-use equipment checks. The operator checks the machine at the machine, on their phone, before it is used. MEWPs and mobile access towers as standard, and for your own plant Keystone writes that machine’s own check from its manufacturer’s manual.
Accident and near-miss reporting from the phone, with photos, straight into the register.
The paperwork on the handset. Every SDS, the RAMS, CPPs and lifting plans, and each operative’s own certificates, readable with no signal.
HAVS exposure logged as the tools go down, filed weekly without anyone chasing it.
Nothing to type up afterwards. Every POWRA, inspection, talk and signature files itself under the right job in the office, timestamped and attributed, with an append-only trail on approvals and investigations. It all prints or exports as PDF, audit-ready.

04 Curated library that learns Your safety judgements captured once and reused forever. COSHH is tied to your materials; approved RAs and SWPs are matched, never re-invented. LIVE
05 Polish loop Reword in your voice — tone, brevity, technical depth. It rewords, never re-judges: the controls and the numbers stay exactly as written. LIVE
06 Cert expiry reminders Emails at 90, 30 and 0 days before a cert expires — training, face-fit, LOLER thorough exam. One reminder per tier, never a repeat. LIVE
07 COSHH from SDS/MSDS Drop in an SDS or MSDS PDF; Keystone extracts H-statements, P-statements, GHS codes and risk class. Nothing invented — structured from the document. LIVE
08 Branded PDF export Every pack exports as a clean, branded PDF ready to submit — your logo and reviewer sign-off in place, no reformatting. LIVE
09 Approval workflow Sender → reviewer → approver, with full audit trail. Site managers can't issue a RAMS that hasn't been signed off. LIVE
10 Training register Every operative, every cert, every renewal date. Set the training your company requires, scoped to site or office staff, and the matrix flags exactly who is missing what. Where two levels of a ticket both count, holding either satisfies it. LIVE
11 Accident + near miss register Reported from the Site App. Full investigation audit trail and a PDF for every record. LIVE
12 Costed training forecast Pick the next 3, 6 or 12 months and get a PDF that names who needs which course and why, groups them into sessions at your group size, offers spare seats to whoever renews soonest after the window, and totals the spend. Built to walk into a budget meeting. LIVE
13 Photo reports Walk the job, photograph what matters, and mark up the picture itself: ring the problem, put an arrow on it, say what is wrong underneath. One or two photos a page, A4, your logo and your colours. Files under the job and emails from the app. LIVE
14 Pre-use equipment checks The operator checks the machine at the machine, on their phone, before it is used. MEWPs and mobile access towers come as standard. For your own plant, upload the manufacturer’s manual and Keystone writes that machine’s own check from it, which you read and release before it reaches site. A failed item tags the equipment out of use, and the blank checks print into the RAMS pack so the principal contractor can see what is being done. LIVE
Reports from the job

Most site reports are a group chat and a Word document at seven in the evening.

That works, right up until you need to find one six months later.

Walk the job, photograph what matters, and mark up the picture itself: ring the problem, put an arrow on it, say what is wrong underneath. One or two photos a page, A4, your logo and your colours. It files under the job next to the RAMS, the POWRAs and the inspections, and it emails to whoever needs it without leaving the app. Site conditions flagged before the crew turns up to them, snagging lists, progress, whatever is holding the job up. Comes with Pro and Team, and there is no per-user charge for it.

And the ones worth chasing get closed out. Mark an item fixed from your phone and the after photo prints beside the before, in the same report, with who fixed it and when. The job list tells you how many items are still open without anyone opening the report.

On-site compliance

The data sheets are on site, signal or not.

A product's SDS has to be available to anyone who could be exposed to it, and almost no one manages it. Keystone makes it automatic: every safety data sheet in your library is cached to the crew's phones and searchable in seconds, on site, with no signal. The RAMS, CPPs and lifting plans go with them, along with each operative's own certificates, so a pack can be read and signed in a dead spot. The folder that's legally meant to be there, finally there, without the folder.

§ 06 — Who's behind it

Built by someone who's had RAMS bounced — and knows why.

Keystone wasn't built by a software founder who's never set foot on site. It was built by a NEBOSH-certified construction professional out of real frustration with documents that took half a day and still came back marked up. Every section, every default control measure and every Analyse rule comes from issuing RAMS on live UK sites — not from a prompt.

§ 09 — Common questions

Before you start the trial.

Does it work in both the UK and Jersey?+

Yes. You choose your jurisdiction at sign-up and every pack is built to the law that applies: CDM 2015 in the UK, the Health and Safety (Management in Construction) (Jersey) Regulations 2016 in Jersey, including the right Construction Phase Plan where you are the only contractor.

Does Keystone replace my safety advisor?+

No, it makes the documents, not the decisions. The library is reviewed and approved by a NEBOSH professional, but you (and your advisor, if you have one) review and sign off every pack. You own what goes out under your name.

Can I bring my own risk assessments and method statements?+

Yes. Upload your existing library on day one — Keystone matches from it before generating anything new. Your wording, your judgements, kept intact.

Is it mobile-friendly for use on site?+

The on-site side is the Site App, which comes with Pro and Team and is built for phones. The crew scan the pack and sign the briefing on their own phones, and POWRAs, weekly inspections and toolbox talks are filed straight from site, even in a dead spot, with your whole safety-data-sheet library cached on the device so it is there with no signal. They can also open the RAMS and lifting plans on their phones whenever they want, so the paperwork is always there to check against. For small jobs that do not warrant a full RAMS, the whole assessment can be done from the Site App: create the job on the phone, run the point-of-work check, and attach the documents that apply from your approved library as one signed record. The full RAMS builder itself is a desk tool. It runs in a tablet browser at a push, but a full pack is best written in the office.

How do I stop someone going to site with an expired ticket?+

If an expired cert is still attached to an operative when you build a RAMS, Analyse flags it before the pack goes out. Email reminders also land at 90, 30 and 0 days before any certificate expires — one per tier, never a repeat.

My trade isn't on your specialist list — does it still work?+

Yes. The horizontal library covers most UK construction trades out of the box; bespoke library seeding for non-standard trades is included on the Team plan.

Stop rewriting RAMS. Start shipping them.
